AYSO Organization. The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation registered with the United States Internal Revenue Service, the State of California Franchise Tax Board and the State of California Registry of Charitable Trusts. In order to maintain this tax-exempt status, AYSO is required to file detailed financial reports with federal, state and local agencies. The Regional Treasurer plays an important role in this process.

Fiscal Year. AYSO’s fiscal year is July 1st through June 30th.

Membership Year. AYSO refers to the official AYSO year as the Membership Year. Membership Years begin on August 1 and ends on July 31. Membership Years are designated as MYXXXX where XXXX is the year in which the membership period begins.

Single Tax ID. AYSO is a composite of all the Regions, Areas, Sections, and the National Organization. The entire AYSO organization operates under a single federal tax ID number, meaning that all of the assets and all of the liabilities of each Region, Area, Section and AYSO Office are part of one single entity.

Tax ID Number. AYSO's tax ID number is 95-6205398.

Tax Exempt Status. AYSO’s income tax-exemption status is determined by Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code and by Section 23701(d) of the State of California Revenue and Taxation Code. AYSO is also registered as a foreign corporation in each state where we have an active Region.
