National and Section Meetings

The RC is responsible to calendar and budget to attend the following annual meetings.

• NAGM (National Annual General Meeting) is the official business meeting of AYSO. The RC is an Executive Member of AYSO and as such is a voting member for the organization. Your full participation is an important responsibility since you get to directly influence the direction of our organization. This meeting is held annually over Memorial Day weekend and locations will vary year to year. This meeting should be calendared and budgeted annually for the RC (or designated regional volunteer such as assistant regional commission or other regional administrator) to attend.
• EXPO is our annual nationwide events for AYSO volunteers, hosted by Sections, that provide opportunities for training, certification and continuing education for all volunteers: coaches, referees, management, EPIC and more. This meeting is over a weekend and will be held at various locations from year to year and is hosted by one or more Sections. This is the opportunity to further train your volunteers, reward volunteers for all their efforts during the year and to invite new volunteers to be trained and ready for the following season(s). This meeting should be calendared and budgeted annually for the as many from the Region that can attend.
