PlayMetrics URL Update: Action Required for AYSO Pilot Regions
AYSO Pilot Regions using PlayMetrics must update their website login and registration links from playmetrics.com to app.playmetrics.com.
Complete these updates before December 31, 2026, when support for old-link redirects ends. After the deadline, outdated links may take visitors to the PlayMetrics corporate website instead of your Region’s intended page.
What is changing?
PlayMetrics now uses app.playmetrics.com for application access and registration. Regions should update their Sports Connect website settings and any other places where PlayMetrics links are shared.
This change affects web addresses only. Accounts, passwords, family profiles, payment histories, and registration records remain unchanged. Members using the PlayMetrics mobile app do not need to take action.
Update your Sports Connect website
The following steps follow PlayMetrics’ official guide, Linking your Sports Connect Website to PlayMetrics.
1. Copy your Region’s registration link from PlayMetrics
- Sign in to PlayMetrics as an Admin.
- Confirm that your registration program or programs have been built and published.
- Go to Programs > Programs.
- Click Registration Link, then Copy Registration Link.
This copies the registration link for your Region’s program listing. Confirm that the URL uses app.playmetrics.com.
If updating an existing link, change the domain from playmetrics.com to app.playmetrics.com and preserve everything after the domain. Use your Region’s complete URL, not the general PlayMetrics homepage.
2. Open Website Links in Sports Connect
Sign in to your Region’s Sports Connect administration account and go to:
Registration > Settings > Website Links
The Website Links section appears on the Registration Settings tab.
Sports Connect Website Links settings. The screenshot shows Default selected; follow the steps below to select PlayMetrics Link for both Login and Register.
3. Update the Login setting
Under Login:
- Ensure Show Login Button is checked so the button appears on your website.
- Select PlayMetrics Link.
- Paste the Region-specific registration link copied from PlayMetrics, using app.playmetrics.com.
According to the official guide, this setting directs users to sign in to PlayMetrics when they click your website’s Login button.
4. Update the Register setting
Under Register:
- Ensure Show Register Button is checked so the button appears on your website.
- Select PlayMetrics Link.
- Paste the same Region-specific registration link copied from PlayMetrics, using app.playmetrics.com.
This setting directs users to PlayMetrics to sign in and register for your available programs.
Check both settings: leaving Default selected keeps the Login button pointed to Sports Connect account access and the Register button pointed to the Sports Connect Programs page.
5. Save and test
Click Save, then open your Region’s public website.
- Click Login and confirm that it directs users to PlayMetrics.
- Click Register and confirm that users can reach your Region’s available registration programs after signing in.
- Confirm that the links use app.playmetrics.com.
If either button opens the wrong destination, return to Website Links, check the selected option and pasted URL, save, and test again.
Review every place your Region shares PlayMetrics login or registration links, including:
- Website menus, buttons, banners, and footer links.
- Email templates, newsletters, automated messages, and email signatures.
- Social media profiles, pinned posts, and link directories.
- Registration instructions, flyers, and QR codes.
- Browser bookmarks used by administrators, volunteers, and families.
Update affected links to app.playmetrics.com, preserve the Region-specific destination, and test each updated link.
For editable QR codes, update the destination. If a QR code’s destination cannot be changed, replace the code on materials that will continue to be used.
Completion checklist
Before December 31, 2026, confirm that:
- Your Region’s updated registration link has been copied from PlayMetrics.
- Both Login and Register have PlayMetrics Link selected and contain the updated URL.
- Both website buttons are enabled.
- Changes have been saved.
- Both buttons have been tested on your public website.
- Other shared links, QR codes, and bookmarks have been reviewed and updated.
